Location: 2800 N Hickory St, Claremore

Position Type: Fulltime with Weekends

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LTC Dietary Aide to join our team at Emerald Care Center Claremore. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to our residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that dietary needs are met according to individual resident care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation: Assist with preparing and cooking meals according to menu plans and dietary guidelines. Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes.
• Food Service: Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure that meals are presented attractively and at the appropriate temperature.
• Dietary Compliance: Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences as outlined in their care plans. Maintain accurate records of special dietary requirements and report any deviations.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety protocols. Perform regular cleaning of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by checking and storing food supplies. Report any shortages or expired items to the Dietary Manager.
• Resident Interaction: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner. Address any food-related concerns or preferences they may have.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure seamless meal service and address any resident needs.
• Compliance: Follow all facility policies, health regulations, and safety procedures. Complete mandatory training and attend meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and capability to handle hot and cold food items.

• Serve Safe or Food Handler Permit is required.

• Basic understanding of food preparation and safety procedures.

• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
