The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
The MDS Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care while ensuring accurate medical documentation
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using the Minimum Data Set (MDS) tool
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather necessary clinical information for MDS completion
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Review and improve clinical documentation to enhance accuracy and completeness
Analyze data related to patient outcomes and quality measures to support managed care initiatives
Provide education and training to staff on MDS processes and documentation standards
Stay updated on changes in regulations related to health information management and clinical practices
Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to MDS assessments
