Responsible for maintaining setting up tables and ensuring that dining areas are clean, sanitary, and organized. Prepare meals under the guidance of a dietary manager or cook in our senior healthcare facility – The Waters of Sweetwater. Duties include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment; maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and floors; properly storing clean items; removing trash; and following all food-safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures. Works cooperatively with all dietary and kitchen staff to ensure residents receive safe and timely meal service.

Dietary Aide Responsibilities:

• Set up tables and dining areas with precision, emphasizing cleanliness and order.

• Prepare meals under the guidance of a dietary manager or cook, ensuring adherence to instructions and safety standards.

• Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures

• Work effectively as part of a team

• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and carrying items.

• Set up tables and dining areas with precision, emphasizing cleanliness and order.

• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates and utensils.

• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.

• Keep food stations clean, wash dishes, cooking equipment, and silverware.

• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.

• Contribute to the upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.

Skills You Bring as a Dietary Aide:

• Previous food-service or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

• Knowledgeable about sanitation and safety guidelines, ensuring a hygienic environment.

• Skilled in meal preparation according to instructions, utilizing cookware and appliances effectively.

• Friendly demeanor with good communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent
