Dietary Supervisor

Excelcare at Newark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, guide dietary staff, and ensure safe, high-quality meal service for our residents. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and schedule dietary staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor food preparation and service for quality, safety, and compliance
• Assist in menu planning and special dietary accommodations
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and maintain sanitation standards
• Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and support
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to meet resident needs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and dietary guidelines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends as needed
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required
