Job Description
Hiring for 1st & 2nd Shift in South Charlotte Area!!!
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing,
and maintaining production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work both
independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical issues on machinery and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Install new machines and equipment.
Remove, repair, and replace machine components as needed.
Perform welding tasks, including ARG, MIG, and TIG welding.
Conduct torch cutting and metal fabrication work.
Assist with pipe fitting tasks.
Learn and operate all plant machinery as required.
Apply knowledge of electrical systems to support maintenance assignments.
Perform all work safely and in compliance with NCC and OSHA regulations.
Train and support new maintenance mechanics.
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to established procedures.
Perform electrical work as needed (frequent).
Operate machinery when required (infrequent).
Job Requirements
Ability to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting
Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Occasional crawling in confined spaces
Must be able to work OT as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
Use of hands and fingers to handle steel components and operate tools
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
Ability to lift to 50lbs
Experience:
1+ year in a light manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in metalworking or drum
manufacturing (Preferred)
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
