Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Support clients with transportation needs for medical appointments or errands, ensuring safe and reliable travel assistance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide specialized support.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper techniques for patient transfer methods.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
