ArtPlay Guide -- Child Development Specialist

Pay: $30–$35/hour
Job type: Part-time W-2 employee
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00–7:00 PM and rotating Saturday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

Job description:

ArtPlay is hiring a warm, creative, dependable ArtPlay Guide to help children build confidence, connection, and social-emotional skills through art, play, movement, and structured activities.

This is a non-clinical, child-focused role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids and can create a safe, upbeat, welcoming environment for children and families.

You will:

• Lead engaging art, play, and social-emotional activities
• Build positive relationships with children and parents
• Help with setup, cleanup, documentation, and daily studio operations
• Follow The ArtPlay Way curriculum, training, and standards

You bring:

• Experience with children in education, youth programs, camps, behavioral support, recreation, art, or a related setting
• A calm, patient, reliable, and emotionally mature presence
• Strong communication skills and dependable afternoon/weekend availability
• Ability to pass a background check

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields is preferred:

• Education
• Psychology
• Counseling
• Behavioral Health
• Social Work
• Child Development
• Special Education
• Early Childhood Education
• Human Development
• Or a related field
