Job Description
We are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator and Delivery Driver to support product deliveries and provide full fabrication assistance under the direction of the shop supervisor. This role primarily supports shop operations while also driving a company pickup truck or pickup with cargo trailer for deliveries, pickups, and warehouse support in NC/SC and parts of GA and TN. The position offers opportunities to take on expanded construction responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner.
- Coordinate delivery routes and pick up orders and shipments.
- Load and unload vehicles, trailers, warehouse deliveries, packages, and materials.
- Inspect and monitor the delivery vehicle.
- Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials.
- Operate forklifts safely and support warehouse activities.
- Provide full fabrication support to the sheet metal shop team.
- Tow cargo trailers and follow OSHA requirements at customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Live near the Pittsboro/Sanford, NC areas.
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record and no accidents.
- Experience with delivery driving and customer service.
- Experience pulling cargo trailers.
- Experience with safe forklift operation.
- Commercial construction knowledge and carpentry skills.
- Ability to support sheet metal fabrication and commercial construction activities.
- Ability to handle a physical workload and meet deadlines.
- Dependable, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to teamwork.
- Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in delivery driving and sheet metal shop assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CDL.
