Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- 46-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility with a 10-bed LTACH/ICU
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with some weekends required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric conditions
- Treats conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, joint replacements, and amputations
- Utilizes equipment including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, prosthetics, and specialty beds
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Alaska PT license (or compact license) required and must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- LTAC experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and wound care preferred
- Strong skills in patient assessment, documentation, and time management
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning within an inpatient rehab setting
- May involve floating between sister facilities within the state as needed
- Scrub color is flexible (any color accepted)
- Free parking available on-site
- Open to first-time travelers
- Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- All requested time off must be submitted in advance for consideration prior to offer
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
