CDL-A Local Delivery Driver - Home Daily

About the role
This isn't highway miles. Our drivers deliver trusses and building materials directly to job sites — which means tight access points, soft ground, unclear drop locations, and situations nobody briefed you on before you left the yard. You'll need to size up a site, make a sound call, and know when the answer is "not safely, let's figure out plan B." We back drivers who set firm safety boundaries with customers, and we expect you to think, not just haul.

Most deliveries fall within a 100-mile radius.

What you'll do

• Assist in loading and verify orders before departure
• Inspect, secure, and protect loads for safe transport
• Deliver on schedule while following all DOT regulations, including oversized-load requirements
• Navigate difficult job sites and determine safe material placement with the customer on-site
• Use judgment on special requests — accommodate where you can, hold the line where you can't
• Report mechanical or safety concerns to maintenance immediately
• Work with the Delivery Leader and management when a site throws you a curve

What we're looking for

• Valid CDL-A and a clean driving record
• Working knowledge of DOT regs, especially oversized loads
• Skill maneuvering large loads into tight spots — flatbed and load securement experience is a plus
• Sound judgment under pressure and the confidence to make a call without a phone tree
• Clear, professional communication with customers, even when the plan changes
• Physical ability to assist with securement and site-related tasks
