Description
American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week assignment in a rehabilitation hospital setting.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 46 rehab beds and a 10-bed LTACH/ICU
- Day shift schedule, either 5x8 or 4x10 hours, 7:00-17:00
- 2 weekend shifts required per month
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active Alaska PT license or compact PT license required in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience preferred
- LTAC experience preferred
- Experience with acute care and rehabilitation hospital settings
- Skilled in adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, and patient assessments
- Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations preferred
- Knowledge of high intensity gait training preferred
- 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for inpatient rehab patients
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric conditions
- May involve use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, walkers, and specialty beds
- Scrub color is flexible
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are approved on an individual basis
