Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week rehab assignment in a long-term care setting, requiring 1+ year of OT experience.
Details
- Long-term care/rehab setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
- 13-week contract assignment
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Flexible start time between before 6AM and no later than 10AM, as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Compact license accepted
Requirements
- Active OT license required (if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- MO state license required
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities/exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to regulatory and clinical standards
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Complete discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards and code of ethics
- No more than 7 days of requested RTO
