The Human Resource Service Center (HRSC) is here to help when Commonwealth employees need medical leave or welcome a new addition to their family. Our team guides employees through the FMLA process by reviewing eligibility, checking paperwork, and ensuring they receive the approved time off they need. The HRSC FMLA Services team is made up of dedicated staff who support employees during some of their most challenging moments. We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and compassionate analyst to join our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the Human Resource Service Center by helping manage leave programs and ensuring employees receive clear guidance and accurate information. It plays an important role in reviewing requests, maintaining records, and supporting staff across multiple agencies. As a Human Resource Analyst 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Administration: Review eligibility, process requests, and manage actions in the FMLA Workbench and SAP
- Leave Guidance: Provide direction and information to employees, supervisors, and human resource (HR) staff about FMLA and leave donations
- Case Monitoring: Track case details, monitor due dates, and maintain confidential medical information
- Program Coordination: Work with HR partners on cases that overlap with Workers' Compensation (WC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP), or Labor Relations (LR)
- Payroll Support: Respond to payroll questions related to payments and absence reporting
- Policy Compliance: Ensure benefits and actions follow established directives, regulations, and the Affordable Care Act

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office on the third Tuesday each month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
