CNC Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking a CNC Operator to join a manufacturing team in Aberdeen, NC. The CNC Operator will operate CNC machinery to produce precision components while maintaining production, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating CNC equipment, reading work instructions or blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and inspecting finished parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components
• Set up and secure workpieces using appropriate fixtures and tooling
• Follow CNC programs, work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
• Monitor machine operation and production processes
• Perform in-process and final inspections
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
• Make basic machine adjustments and tool/offset changes as required
• Identify dimensional or quality issues and make appropriate adjustments
• Monitor tooling for wear or damage
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Meet established production and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred
• Manufacturing or machining experience
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions
• Familiarity with CNC controls and machine operation
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/handle materials as required
