Customer Account Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in downtown Columbus to add a Customer Account Specialist to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a natural ability to connect with people, enjoys solving problems, and isn't afraid to have conversations surrounding account balances and payments.

Rather than a traditional collections environment, this position is centered around customer communication, account research, and finding solutions. You'll work with both business and individual customers to understand outstanding balances, identify discrepancies, and help move accounts toward resolution.

What You'll Do:

• Build positive relationships with customers while following up on outstanding account balances
• Review account activity and reconcile balances to identify discrepancies
• Research billing or payment issues and determine what is preventing payment
• Work with customers and internal departments to resolve account concerns
• Maintain thorough notes and documentation regarding account activity and customer communication

• Balance multiple customer accounts and follow-ups while providing a high level of service

What We're Looking For:

• Previous customer service, account support, accounts receivable, or similar experience
• Friendly, energetic personality with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence navigating conversations involving balances, payments, and account concerns
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies
• Previous team lead, supervisory, or management experience is a plus
• Ability to work onsite in downtown Columbus

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
