About the Role

Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support prototype and small-batch electronic hardware builds in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This position requires hands-on experience assembling and reworking printed circuit boards (PCBs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs), along with the ability to work on programs supporting government and defense-related customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and electronics manufacturing processes and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
• Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount electronic components
• Operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment and assembly tools
• Complete board touch-up, rework, coating, and inspection activities
• Verify workmanship and product quality against established standards
• Document manufacturing issues and discrepancies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturability concerns
• Follow assembly instructions, quality procedures, and ESD requirements
• Support prototype and low-volume production builds

Required Qualifications

Must Have:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience OR Associate Degree with 0-2 years of related experience
• Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Assembly
• Experience with hand soldering electronic components
• Ability to work in a quality-driven electronics manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
• Experience with through-hole and surface-mount component assembly
• Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices
• Experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Prior aerospace, defense, avionics, or electronics manufacturing experience
