Welder/Fabricator

Core Industrial Maintenance is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team of skilled tradespeople. We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded individual with experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding and a strong understanding of proper welding techniques and applications in an industrial environment.

This position involves working in a variety of shop and field environments. 

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Fit, fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, piping, and components.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, fitting, and cleaning prior to welding.
• Use rigging equipment, hoists, and cranes to safely position and secure materials.
• Perform pipe fitting, threading, and welding for industrial projects.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and proper workmanship.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools.
• Use tape measures, calipers, levels, squares, and other measuring instruments to maintain accurate dimensions.
• Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience in an industrial, fabrication, construction, or maintenance environment.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong fitting, fabrication, and measurement skills.
• Pipe welding and stainless steel experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer locations.
• Must be able to work safely in industrial environments and follow site-specific safety requirements.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years Welding experience in an industrial setting

- Knowledge of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures
