Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position available in a rural critical access hospital setting. This role involves providing acute care services to a diverse inpatient population, with the flexibility to float between inpatient and outpatient units. The position requires working primarily in acute care and outpatient settings, with travel between two healthcare facilities approximately 23 miles apart. The schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 7:20 AM to 5:50 PM.
Job Details:
- Shift Hours: 10 hours daily
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- End Date: 01/18/2027
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience preferred, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), current and active in relevant skills including acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, and ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems (Epic preferred), community hospital experience, strong skills in mobility assessment and therapeutic procedures, ability to travel between facilities.
- Additional Information: The role involves working at a rural hospital with a therapy team consisting of PT/OT/SLP. Clinicians will need to travel approximately 23 miles between facilities for outpatient coverage. The position is acute care focused, with the potential to manage a variety of diagnoses including post-op, deconditioning, and balance impairments. Candidate must be flexible to work within a 50-mile radius and be able to float as needed. Candidates will be expected to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays. No wound care is required. Limited orientation hours are provided, and completion of training modules via Workramp is necessary before start.
