Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position located in an acute care setting. This role involves working in a state-of-the-art cath lab with a focus on electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation and assisting with various cardiology procedures. The technician will support multiple types of interventions including right and left heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, electrophysiology, and rotational atherectomy.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, with on-call and holiday coverage. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, BLS (American Heart Association), Fluoroscopy certification, and LA City Fire & Safety certification. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a cath lab environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Unit notes indicate that orientation is scheduled for 10/19 and 11/2. Caseload averages approximately 5 cases per day, including procedures such as RHC, LHC, PCI, EP studies, Rotablator, and Peripheral interventions. Certification and licensing must be submitted prior to assignment. This position requires response times of 30 minutes for on-call staff and coverage for one holiday.
