Sheet Metal Packager

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday; extended hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed

About the Position

The Sheet Metal Packager is responsible for wrapping and packaging finished products according to customer specifications. This position supports production, storage, and distribution activities while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure finished product meets customer specifications and work instructions.
• Assist with packaging and preparation of finished goods.
• Hand stack material coming off press machines.
• Use hand tools such as banders and crimpers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety and company policies.
• Report quality or safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Crane and/or forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Dependable attendance and adherence to company policies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable.
• Ability to pass required physical examination and drug screen.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Heavy industrial steel/aluminum processing and distribution environment. PPE is required on the plant floor. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hand tools. Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Good vision and hearing are required.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday. Extended hours, nights, weekends, and overtime may be required based on business needs.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
