Sales Support/Customer Service

Description:

The primary functions of the Customer Service Representative/Sales Support individual are to support our sales staff and manage customer accounts. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Interacting with customers, vendors, distributors, and internal departments to ensure that our customer service levels are consistently world class
• Communicating with customers pre- and post-delivery of products and services
• Communicating with suppliers, vendors, and distributors regarding product shipment and order status 
• Resolving customer requests for assistance via phone and email; addressing issues and coordinating with internal departments to appropriately respond
• Maintaining detailed records of order activity 
• Placing purchase orders and credit card orders in a timely manner to fulfill sales orders secured by the sales staff
• Verifying accuracy and completeness of customer purchase orders
• Communicating and coordinating with Account Managers to make corrections and updates to all supporting documentation to complete purchase transactions
• Verifying stock of products ordered
• Communicating back ordered, end-of-life, or discontinued status of products to Account Managers and/or customers
• Register warranties
• Updating records/data entry and creating new records with excellent accuracy
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Relevant work experience in a customer service role
• Excellent customer service skills that exceed customers’ expectations
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
• Ability to type quickly and accurately
• Great attention to detail
• Intermediate clerical office skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Great organizational, planning, and time-management skills
• The ability to make real-time decisions to solve problems
• Professional appearance
• Regular reliable attendance
• Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
