Job Summary:

McLaren Thumb Region is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in the Imaging Department. The technologist will perform CT examinations while also supporting X-Ray imaging as required. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of CT experience and be comfortable working with advanced imaging equipment in a patient-focused hospital environment.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and standards.
• Perform general X-Ray procedures as required.
• Provide safe, accurate, and efficient imaging services.
• Operate CT and X-Ray equipment effectively and safely.
• Properly position and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
• Follow radiation safety, infection-control, and departmental policies.
• Review images for technical quality and obtain additional images when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrate strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Maintain an organized workflow in a busy diagnostic imaging environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience – REQUIRED.
• X-Ray experience – REQUIRED.
• Current ARRT certification – REQUIRED.
• Current BLS certification – REQUIRED.
• Ability to perform both CT and general diagnostic X-Ray procedures.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital imaging environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred.
• Experience with Philips X-Ray equipment preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred.

Assignment Details:

• 3 × 12-hour day shifts
• 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours/week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Matching scrubs required
• 12 hours of initial orientation are non-billable for bill rates over $40/hour.
• OT/Holiday/Call Back: 1.1× regular rate
• Extension discount: $1/hour on initial extension.
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and will receive a 10% reduction in the travel rate.

Submission Requirements:

• Updated work history/resume.
• 2+ years CT experience.
• Documented X-Ray experience.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Skills checklist is preferred for non-nursing professions but not mandatory.
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within 6 months of employment.

McLaren Thumb Region provides diagnostic imaging services utilizing advanced technology including X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, and Mammography. The Diagnostic Imaging Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and utilizes PACS for electronic storage and management of imaging studies.
