We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

The selected candidate will assist physicians with invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures, maintain a sterile procedural environment, operate specialized cardiovascular equipment, monitor hemodynamics, and support advanced circulatory devices including Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).

The ideal candidate will have strong recent Cath Lab experience, excellent hemodynamic monitoring skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 

• Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Weekend: Required as needed
• Holiday: One summer holiday and one winter holiday
• On-Call: Required — minimum 7 shifts, maximum 10 shifts during the assignment
• Floating: Not required
• Scrub Color: Green

• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, equipment, and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Support temporary and permanent pacemaker placement procedures.
• Operate and assist with advanced circulatory support devices, including Impella and IABP.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data, cardiac output, and oximetry measurements.
• Operate power injectors and related sterile equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and monitoring throughout procedures.
• Maintain digital imaging and cardiovascular information systems (CVIS).
• Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial band application, and hemostasis.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to cardiac arrhythmias.
• Maintain inventory and ensure procedure rooms are fully prepared.
• Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique standards.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality checks.
• Maintain a safe and organized procedural environment.

• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Strong experience supporting invasive cardiac procedures.
• Impella experience required.
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience required.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced Cath Lab environment.

Preferred Experience

• Permanent pacemaker placement experience.
• Mac-Lab experience.
• EPIC experience.
• Previous travel or hospital experience.

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Applied Science program.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a health science-related field preferred.

• BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Radiology certification/license, as applicable
• ARRT certification preferred
• State Radiologic License, if applicable

Additional Certification Requirements

• ACLS must be obtained within 3 months of employment if not already held.
• RCIS certification or Radiologic Technologist License within one year of hire is preferred, subject to facility requirements.

The selected candidate must be able to:

• Safely lift up to 40 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods during procedures.
• Perform duties safely in a fast-paced procedural environment.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with strong interventional cardiology experience, hands-on proficiency with Impella and IABP, excellent hemodynamic monitoring skills, and the ability to support complex cardiac procedures.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently, collaborating with physicians and clinical teams, and participating in the required on-call rotation, weekend coverage, and holiday coverage.
