Hire Priority Staffing is hiring a Porter / Make Ready Technician for a multifamily apartment community in Houston. This is for a dependable, hard-working individual who can assist with apartment make-readies, property cleanup, and groundskeeping duties.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows directions, and can help the maintenance team prepare vacant apartment homes while keeping the community clean and presentable.
Job Details:
- Location: Houston, TX
- Position Type: Full - Time , Temporary to Hire
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Language: English or Spanish
- Must be available to work both scheduled days
Responsibilities:
- Assist with apartment make-ready work and unit preparation
- Help prepare vacant apartment homes for new resident move-in
- Perform general property cleanup and groundskeeping duties
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
- Help maintain the appearance of breezeways, common areas, and community grounds
- Assist the maintenance team with basic porter and make-ready tasks
- Complete additional property cleanup duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous make-ready, porter, groundskeeper, maintenance, construction, or general labor experience preferred
- Must be dependable and able to arrive on time both days
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail required
- Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a maintenance team
- Spanish-speaking candidates may apply; bilingual English and Spanish is not required
- Must be able to provide valid identification and proof of authorization to work in the United States
- Must be able to complete the application and interview process
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
