  • Ensure insurance verification, prior authorizations, medical records, imaging, and required documentation are completed before visits and procedures.
  • Support workflows for interventional pain procedures, injections, follow-up visits, and medication management.
  • Coordinate with ambulatory surgery centers, imaging facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and referring providers.

  • Support compliance with controlled-substance policies, prescription monitoring requirements, urine drug testing protocols, and patient agreements.
  • Assist with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, onboarding, and operational support.
  • Monitor employee schedules, timekeeping, PTO, overtime, and staffing needs.
  • Oversee inventory, medical supplies, equipment, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
  • Address patient complaints and operational concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer requirements, and practice policies.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of medical practice management, healthcare operations, or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing employees in a physician practice, specialty clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, billing workflows, collections, and revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience in interventional pain management, spine, orthopedics, neurology, surgery, or another procedure-based specialty strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, payer requirements, medical necessity, and clinical documentation preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, practice management systems, and Microsoft Office.
