Yard Associate

Build your skills with Country Lumber in Thomaston, CT. We’re looking for a Yard Associate to help prepare lumber orders, assist customers, and keep our yard running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and learning new skills, we’d like to hear from you.

Country Lumber helps customers across Connecticut find the lumber and building materials they need, including windows, doors, millwork, and high-end cabinetry. As part of our yard team, you’ll help make sure products are ready when customers and delivery drivers need them.

What You’ll Do

• Build and check lumber orders for delivery.
• Safely operate a forklift to move products.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Assist customers in the yard.
• Restock products and help keep inventory organized.
• Check orders and products for accuracy and quality.
• Keep the yard clean and safe for employees and customers.
• Learn and use our RF warehouse system.

What You’ll Need

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to commute to Thomaston, CT 06787.

Lumber experience is a plus.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• On-site in Thomaston, CT 06787
