Job Description
The Greer Group is hiring Machine Operators and Assemblers for 2nd and 3rd shifts with a leading automotive manufacturer in Newton, NC for DAUCH, formally known as GKN.

10 PLUS POSITIONS!
These are temp-to-hire career opportunities in a clean, established manufacturing facility. High Tech plant! Training is provided onsite, Saturday overtime, and time and a half pay is routine!
PAY: $19.10/hour
Machine Operator 2nd Shift
Monday - Friday 2:00 PM – 10:15 PM
Machine Operator 3rd Shift
Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM – 6:15 AM
Assembly 3rd Shift
Sunday - Thursday 10:15 PM – 6:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
- Perform inspections, measurements, and quality checks; identify and document non-conforming material.
- Read and interpret work instructions, process plans, charts, prints, and pre-op documentation.
- Make machine adjustments and perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor tooling, machine conditions, production goals, and quality standards.
- Enter production and quality data using computer systems/SAP.
- Complete maintenance, machine verification, and production checklists.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding safety, quality, and production issues.
- Participate in team meetings, training, cross-training, and continuous improvement activities.
- Rotate between production cells/departments as needed.
- Follow assigned work schedules and all company safety, environmental, health, and quality requirements.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
- Must meet background screening and drug testing requirements
