Thermal Spray Operator- 2nd Shift

Will train on 1st shift M-F 7:30am-4pm -then move to:
2nd shift M-F 4pm-12:30am

Job Description

Involves the ability to prepare parts for thermal spraying, performing dimensional checks, and monitoring parameters. Selected Thermal Spray Operators will be expected to read and follow written instruction in the form of job specific work orders as well as customer process specifications as necessary for the successful completion of all interrelated tasks in accordance with defined requirements. Candidates must be self-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up various types of tooling, fixtures, and parts
• Perform in-process dimensional checks using various instrumentation
• Monitor machine parameters
• Preparing parts for thermal spraying
• Must be able to effectively communicate
• Must be able to complete all required paperwork
• Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company’s commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY!
• Maintaining regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule
• Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions
• Wear and maintain proper personal equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Education

• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques
• Understanding of coating materials and their applications
• Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications
• Basic maintenance of spray guns, hoses, and related tools
• Prior experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or heavy industry preferred
• High school diploma
