Project Manager (Commercial Moving/Logistcs/Furniture&Hospitality )

Candidate should be skilled in planning, organizing and delivering commercial move/installation projects on time within budget and scope. Should have a background in the commercial moving, logistics and/or furniture installation industry, including an entrepreneurial spirit and sharp critical thinking skills. Budgeting and analysis is a plus.

Candidate is skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
• Ability to manage multiple commercial moving crews, installers, carpenters
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Understanding project documentation and change order process throughout duration of job
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to upper management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma, Associates and/or Bachelors degree a plus
• Proven working experience as a project manager or industry knowledge in commercial moving, logistics or installation
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
