Carpenter

Position: Carpenter/Painter

Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday and OT as needed on Fridays

We are seeking an experienced Painter to add to our Carpenter team who will work in a manufacturing environment. This position will perform a variety of carpentry and general construction tasks, with a primary focus on painting trim and doors but may also help with framing and drywall.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry and construction work throughout the department.
• Primarily paint trim and doors and other structures.
• Perform wood framing as needed.
• Install, repair, and finish drywall, including measuring, cutting, hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding.
• Prepare surfaces and perform interior and exterior painting, including patching, sanding, priming, and applying paint.
• Read and interpret basic measurements using a tape measure.
• Safely operate common hand and power tools used in carpentry and construction.
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper procedures when working with tools, equipment, ladders, and elevated work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with:
• • Framing
  • Drywall installation and repair
  • Painting and surface preparation
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install materials.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings, plans, or measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist with a variety of facility projects.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working from blueprints or construction drawings.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and working from ladders or elevated areas. The employee must be able to safely handle tools and materials and lift/carry materials as required for the job.

Schedule: 6am-6:30pm Monday - Thursday and OT as needed on Fridays.

Pay: $20-$22 depending on experience
