Chemical Process Engineer

LockLeed International is recruiting a Chemical Process Engineer for an electronics manufacturer in Northfield. This is a full-time, direct hire role with the client, paying $75,000 to $90,000 a year. You'll own the wet process area and its water treatment compliance.

What you'll do

• Manage and improve wet process manufacturing, supporting production teams with troubleshooting and mentoring
• Investigate nonconformances with root cause analysis
• Maintain process documentation and resolve audit findings
• Work with engineering, plant management, sales, quality and customers on process, material and design issues
• Lead improvement projects and new capability work, and recommend capital investments
• Run monthly water sampling for city reporting, and monitor RO, softening and discharge systems
• Train employees on hazardous waste and chemical safety

What you need

• B.S. in chemical engineering or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in flexible circuit or circuit board manufacturing
• Lean, SPC or Lean Six Sigma knowledge
• Understanding of HAZWOPER and OSHA requirements, and ISO 9001
• Water treatment or discharge compliance experience preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
