Applications Engineer - Full-time

LockLeed International is recruiting an Applications Engineer for an electronics manufacturer in Bloomington. This is a full-time, direct hire role with the client, paying $88,000 to $110,000 a year and reporting to the Director of Technical Sales.

What you'll do

• Review new designs, drawings and data for manufacturability
• Build cost estimates for new parts and hand complete information to the setup team
• Review customer quality clauses and document exceptions and deviations
• Support the sales team in technical discussions with customers
• Work with engineers, supervisors and sales to resolve process, design, material and quality questions
• Train employees on building new jobs

What you need

• Associate degree in engineering, math or science required; bachelor's preferred
• 3 to 5 years of product or manufacturing experience with flex circuits, flex heaters or circuit boards
• Knowledge of at least one product line: flex, rigid-flex, heaters or assemblies
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000, Lean, SPC and Total Quality Control
• Strong communication and teamwork, plus Microsoft Office
• Travel to key customers as programs require
