Production Quality Assurance

Position Summary

The Production Quality Assurance (QA) position supports product quality and compliance on assigned production lines. This role independently verifies line readiness, materials, labels, production activity, and finished product against approved requirements; documents routine quality checks; and escalates nonconforming conditions to Quality leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform and document line-clearance checks before production begins and after production is completed.

• Verify the correct product, components, labels, item/SKU information, lot/date codes, and production instructions before use.

• Complete required first-article or start-up verification when applicable before full production continues.

• Perform and document routine in-process quality inspections at required intervals and at end of shift.

• Monitor packaging, labeling, product condition, workmanship, and overall conformance to customer and WSC requirements.

• Identify, segregate, and clearly communicate damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming product/materials so they are not unintentionally used or released.

• Complete QA forms and production records accurately, legibly, and at the time the work is performed; follow WSC data-integrity and record-correction requirements.

• Communicate quality concerns promptly to the Quality Control Supervisor and coordinate with Production personnel on correction of issues.

• Support GMP, sanitation, housekeeping, traceability, and product-protection expectations throughout production operations.

• Maintain independence in quality decisions and escalate any condition that could affect product quality, identification, or customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous quality, production, packaging, warehouse, or inspection experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify labeling, component, count, packaging, and documentation errors.

• Ability to follow written work instructions and complete production/quality records accurately.

• Comfortable communicating concerns and stopping/escalating work when a quality issue is identified.

• Basic computer or tablet experience preferred.

Language / Communication

Ability to communicate effectively with production employees is required. Spanish communication skills or bilingual English/Spanish ability is strongly preferred because this position routinely works with and provides quality direction to Spanish-speaking production personnel. Ability to read and complete basic English production and quality documentation is also required.
