Building Engineer

The Building Engineer will be primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting an industrial facility as a solo role within a small engineering team of 2-5 members who will be throughout US to support. This position demands expertise in facility upkeep, equipment inspection, system troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards. The engineer will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and may be required to respond to occasional on-call or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance and operational monitoring
• Inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in building engineering roles
• Associate degree in Building Technology or Facilities Management
• OSHA Safety Certification
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Experience with preventive maintenance and safety standards compliance
• Familiarity with vendor management
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be US Citizen
• Be able to pass federal background check
