26' Box Truck Driver / White Glove Delivery Installer - $20-$24/hr

ALAB Transport, LLC is expanding our final-mile delivery operations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and is seeking dependable, professional Box Truck Drivers and White Glove Delivery Installers to join our team.

This is not standard parcel delivery. Our crews provide premium, in-home delivery service for furniture and home furnishings. Team members will deliver merchandise using a 26-foot box truck, safely transport products into customers' homes, place items in the customer's room of choice, perform light furniture assembly, and provide an exceptional customer experience.

All deliveries are performed by two-person teams.

We are looking for employees who take pride in their work, understand how to protect customers' homes and merchandise, and can represent ALAB professionally at every delivery.

Compensation

Starting compensation will depend on experience and position:

• Lead Driver / Installer: $22–$24/hour
• Delivery Helper / Installer: $18.50–$20/hour
• Cross-Trained Driver/Installer: $20–$22/hour
• Performance and attendance bonuses available
• Opportunity for increased compensation based on demonstrated performance, reliability and leadership

Overtime and other compensation will be administered in accordance with applicable law and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot commercial box truck.
• Work as part of a two-person delivery team.
• Load, secure and unload furniture and other oversized merchandise.
• Inspect merchandise before delivery and document existing damage.
• Deliver merchandise into customers' homes and place it in the designated room.
• Navigate stairs, elevators, narrow hallways and residential delivery environments.
• Protect floors, walls, doors and other customer property during delivery.
• Assemble furniture using basic hand and power tools.
• Use furniture dollies, hand trucks, shoulder straps and other moving equipment.
• Remove packaging and delivery debris when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the delivery.
• Photograph and properly document completed deliveries.
• Immediately report merchandise or property damage.
• Complete daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain a clean and professional truck and work area.
• Follow ALAB, customer, safety and DOT procedures.

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• 24' or 26' box truck driving
• Amazon XL delivery
• Furniture delivery
• Appliance delivery
• Moving companies
• White-glove delivery
• Furniture assembly
• Appliance/furniture installation
• Final-mile logistics

Prior white-glove experience is preferred but we will consider strong candidates with related experience and the right attitude.

Driver Requirements

Driver candidates should:

• Have experience operating a 24' or 26' box truck.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be comfortable backing and maneuvering a large commercial vehicle in residential areas.
• Be able to satisfy applicable DOT/FMCSA driver-qualification requirements.
• Successfully complete required background and qualification screening.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position.

Applicants must be able to:

• Regularly lift and carry heavy furniture.
• Safely move large and bulky merchandise as part of a two-person team.
• Assist with items weighing 300+ pounds as a team.
• Climb stairs while moving merchandise.
• Bend, lift, push, pull and stand for extended periods.
• Work safely in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Full-time availability preferred.
• Early-morning start times should be expected.
• Route completion times will vary based on mileage, delivery volume and assembly requirements.
• Some weekend availability may be required.
• Employees must have reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location.
