Medical Aesthetic Specialist

About the Role

St Clair Eye is seeking a Medical Aesthetic Specialist to provide patient-focused aesthetic and dry-eye treatments using advanced technology, while educating patients about services and helping them determine which treatments are right for their needs.

This role combines patient care, treatment, education, and sales. The ideal candidate will have experience in dry eye, aesthetics, dermatology, ophthalmology, optometry, or a related field and will be comfortable educating patients about treatment options and confidently recommending services that meet their needs.

Areas of Responsibility

Patient Care & Treatments

• Perform dry eye and aesthetic treatments according to established protocols and training
• Prepare patients for treatments and provide a comfortable, professional experience
• Monitor and document treatments and patient responses
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment according to office standards

Patient Education & Consultation

• Educate patients about dry eye, ocular surface health, and available treatment options
• Conduct consultations and educate patients on how treatments meet their individual needs
• Explain treatment plans, expectations, frequency, and maintenance recommendations
• Recognize opportunities for additional services and appropriately communicate recommendations to patients
• Work closely with our optometrists and team to provide coordinated patient care

Sales & Business Development

• Confidently recommend appropriate dry eye and aesthetic services based on patient needs
• Turn consultations into treatment plans while maintaining a patient-first approach
• Discuss treatment options, packages, and pricing with patients in a clear and professional manner
• Follow up with patients who are considering treatment or returning for ongoing care
• Help grow awareness and utilization of St Clair Eye's dry eye and aesthetic services
• Build strong patient relationships that encourage long-term treatment and repeat services

Qualifications

• Experience in dry eye, optometry, ophthalmology, dermatology, medical aesthetics, or a related healthcare/aesthetic field preferred
• Experience operating aesthetic or medical treatment devices preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable educating patients and discussing treatment recommendations
• Comfortable with sales and asking patients to move forward with recommended services
• Professional, personable, and able to make patients feel comfortable
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
• Able to learn new technology, treatment protocols, and services
• Must be comfortable working in a patient-facing environment
