CNA Caregiver

Qualifications:

· Highschool diploma or equivalent

· Graduate of state approved CAN program and Current Washington State License

· 70/75 hour basic training

· Dementia/Mental Health Specialty/Orientation and Safety Training

· Maintain Yearly Continuing Education Credits- 12 hours

· Current and Maintained CPR

· Current and Maintained First Aid

· Current and Maintained Food workers Card

· TB test either blood draw or both steps 1 & 2

· Must Pass Fingerprint background check- Once in lifetime and Yearly Date of Birth Background check.

Every Monday and Tuesday 8:30am-5pm

Rotating schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 1-9pm with every other weekend off.

Example: You would work Monday-Thursday then have Friday, Saturday, Sunday off.

The following week you would work Monday-Tuesday and have Wednesday-Thursday off and then you would work Friday-Tuesday.

Position Duties:

Assist residents with medications assistance.

Provide physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed- using the toilet, incontinence care, standing walking or exercising.

Using our computer based eMAR system -PointClickCare- to record medication administrations, vitals, behavioral changes, and notes.

Answering phone calls and coordinating/ making appointments with other personal on resident's care team. e.g. doctors, physical therapists, dentists, and social workers.

We serve a large demographic of veterans as well as DSHS clients. Our clients enjoy their independence and walking the beautiful grounds. We provide medication assistance, housekeeping, laundry services, home cooked meals, and planned activities such as bingo, horse shoes, crafts, and summer BBQ's.
