HIRING: SPED Teacher Aides & Substitute Teachers | Pre-K - 12

Teachers Now is currently hiring SPED Teacher Aides and SPED Substitute Teachers to support schools throughout the Kansas City area. We have long-term assignments available for candidates looking for consistent work, along with opportunities for individuals interested in picking up shorter assignments when available.

These opportunities allow you to support students from Pre-K through High School, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in the classroom. We are looking for caring, dependable, and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special needs.

What You'll Do

Depending on the position and assignment, you may:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
• Assist students with academic and classroom activities
• Support daily classroom routines and transitions
• Encourage positive behavior and student engagement
• Work closely with teachers and school staff
• Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment
• Follow classroom procedures and lesson plans
• Support students throughout the school day

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, caring, and motivated to support students. Candidates interested in long-term assignments are strongly encouraged to apply, but we also welcome individuals interested in shorter assignments.

Previous SPED experience is preferred, but we encourage individuals with experience in education, childcare, behavioral support, youth programs, or other student-focused environments to apply.

Schedule

Monday–Friday

• Full Day: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Half Day: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Half Day: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

Schedules and hours may vary depending on the school and assignment.
