Mancan is currently looking for a Facility Technician/Grounds Keeper for a agriculture farm located in Alva, Florida.

The Facility Technician/Grounds Keeper role involves supporting all aspects of the Alva sites groundskeeping and assisting with other maintenance tasks as needed. The job requires a thorough understanding and adherence to all company and regulatory safety requirements and regulations.

Accountabilities

The groundskeeping process involves operating various types of equipment such as slope mowers, tractors, Brush mowing, finish mowing, riding lawnmowers, and weed eaters to maintain the landscape.
It also includes tasks such as spraying weeds (training will be provided), trimming/pruning landscape, installing new landscape, repairing fences, and maintaining sprinkler systems and pond maintenance.
The groundskeeper must monitor and report any equipment damage or repairs needed, identify areas that require service, and perform tasks with help when necessary.
They must operate within regulatory and HSES guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and participate in company HSES programs and procedures.
The groundskeeper should provide effective feedback to stakeholders on maintenance progress and ensure that quality performance standards are met.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Knowledge of safe work regulations, including but not restricted to; Lockout Tag-Out, Ladder safety, and PPE Requirements.
Experience with a wide range farm equipment and other construction and operational equipment
Must be trained on the operation of the Slope Mower and all other equipment used for groundskeeping.
Must have knowledge of sprinkler systems and know how to maintain and program the systems.
Must have knowledge of fence maintenance and installation.
Must be a team player
Ensure that all quality standards are met.
Work independently
Ability to speak English & Spanish is a plus in this role

Physical demands of the essential functions:

Must be able to work flexible work hours when required; including nights and weekends
Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus over time as required
Must be able to work in inclement weather
Must be able to wear respirator.
Ability to carry 25 lbs for up to 15 minutes.

Working conditions while performing essential functions:

Field work is subject to field environment conditions.
Working with and around approved agricultural chemicals.
