Special Education Teacher - Fremont, CA

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Proven ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities and learning differences
• Solid communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
• Commitment to inclusive practices and fostering a supportive classroom environment
• Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional activities to students in accordance with their IEPs
• Modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students’ needs
• Track and report progress, completing all required documentation accurately and on time
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to coordinate support
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom for all students
• Encourage student engagement and self-advocacy in learning
