Grill Cook — $25.00/hour — Toledo, OH — choose your own hours Upshift is hiring Grill Cooks for the campus dining kitchen at the University of Toledo — Sunday to Thursday shifts posted through early October — plus restaurant and event kitchens across Toledo. You are a W-2 employee of Upshift; we schedule you on the shifts you choose. About the job - Work the grill and hot line in a high-volume campus kitchen. - Set up and stock your station before service; break it down and sanitize after. - Follow recipes, portion standards and food-safety rules. - Shifts available now, Sunday–Thursday. Typical shift 5–8 hours. Schedule — you choose your own hours Sign up once; every open shift is in the Upshift app. Claim the ones that fit around classes, kids or another job — a few days a week or full-time hours — and change it week to week. No minimum, no penalty for not claiming. Pay and benefits - $25.00 per hour, shown on every shift before you claim it. - Clock in and out on your phone; paid by Upshift through payroll, fast. - Health, dental and vision insurance available after your first paycheck. - W-2 employee — taxes withheld, workers' comp covered. Not 1099, no fees to you. - Good ratings unlock more and higher-paying shifts. Requirements - Cooking experience of any kind: grill, line, prep, cafeteria, catering or quick-service. - 18 or older, with a smartphone. - Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lb. - Reliable transportation to campus recommended.
