Machine Shop Quality Lab Tech

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Shop Quality Lab Tech at our facility located in Wyoming, IL, 61941. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our machining processes. • Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools to assess product quality.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality metrics.
• Collaborate with machine operators and engineering teams to address quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
• Assist in training team members on quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the quality lab and inspection areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality assurance is a plus.
• Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
• Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• ISO 9001 Certification Experience
• Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology
• Precision Measurement & Inspection
• High School / GED
• Shop Math Skills
• PPAP Process Experience
