Traveling Nursing Home Administrator (NHA)

These interim assignments go beyond the traditional Administrator role. • Provide interim Nursing Home Administrator leadership for skilled nursing communities throughout Minnesota

• Lead and stabilize facility operations during periods of leadership transition or operational need

• Oversee day-to-day operations while promoting high-quality resident care and service

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

• Maintain survey readiness and lead the community through regulatory surveys and plans of correction, as needed

• Partner closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical and operational outcomes

• Assess current systems, processes, staffing, and performance and implement sustainable improvements

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and support department leaders while building a positive and accountable workplace culture

• Monitor key operational metrics, including staffing, labor, census, revenue, expenses, quality measures, and resident satisfaction

• Develop and execute strategies to improve financial and operational performance

• Support census development, referral relationships, and overall community growth

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, employees, physicians, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders

• Provide clear updates and recommendations to organizational and client leadership throughout each assignment

• Current Minnesota Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing

• Proven leadership experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting

• Strong knowledge of CMS requirements, Minnesota regulations, survey processes, and skilled nursing operations

• Demonstrated ability to lead communities through transition, operational challenges, or performance improvement initiatives

• Strong financial and operational acumen, including experience managing budgets, labor, staffing, and census

• Ability to quickly assess a community, establish priorities, and implement meaningful change

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and team development skills

• Ability to work independently and confidently in changing environments

• Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout Minnesota based on client and community needs

• Experience with interim leadership, turnaround environments, survey recovery, or multi-site operations is strongly preferred
