Industrial Mechanic.
Pay: $30.51/hr.
The Opportunity:
As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on position, you will apply your mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and utility systems to minimize downtime.
- Help ensure equipment operates within OEM standards and production requirements.
- Support a strong safety culture by following all safety procedures and completing required pre-task analyses.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Previous industrial maintenance or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to operate maintenance-related systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a continuous-run manufacturing environment.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliability.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, hours, and overtime as business needs require.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
