Join our team in Milwaukee, WI and spend your days doing what you do best: solving problems under the hood. On a steady Monday–Friday, first‑shift schedule (9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), you'll service and repair a fleet of gasoline and diesel school buses while earning $26–$35 per hour.

A day in the life

You clock in at 9:00 a.m., line up your tools, and dive into a mix of planned maintenance and real-time troubleshooting. One moment you’re running Cummins Insite, Wabco, or Allison diagnostics to chase down a fault; the next, you’re overhauling a transmission, clearing an aftertreatment hiccup, or bringing a wheelchair lift back to full operation—always with student safety front and center.

What you'll take on

• Full-spectrum service on gasoline and diesel buses—from routine PMs to complete vehicle repairs
• Root-cause diagnosis of mechanical issues and execution of a proactive maintenance program
• Major and minor engine and transmission overhauls
• Advanced diagnostics using Cummins Insite, Wabco, and Allison tools
• Aftertreatment troubleshooting (including engines, knock sensors, and brake system HCU units)
• Repair and upkeep of brakes, air compressors, fuel/ignition systems, HVAC, wheelchair lifts, and A/C units
• DOT-compliant inspections and repairs for school buses
• Accurate documentation of labor time and materials used

What you bring

• 3+ years working on buses or medium-duty trucks; International Truck/Bus experience preferred
• Your own professional tool set
• Working knowledge of pupil transportation regulations (e.g., IDOT inspections)
• CDL Class B with air brake endorsement preferred
• A/C certification preferred
• Clear, professional communication with teammates and customers
• Calm under pressure, deadline-driven, and independently productive

• Pay: $26–$35 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, first shift
• Hours: 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Location: Milwaukee, WI
