Job Summary
CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist Location unspecified. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures utilizing advanced CT equipment, including contrast administration, to facilitate diagnostic evaluations. The position requires applying specialized technical skills, clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited CNMT program; CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of hire or primary registry date; minimum 2 years of related experience; ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification; valid BLS certification; Pennsylvania Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances; strong CTA skills and EPIC experience.
- Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 7 a.m. 7 p.m., 36 hours per week.
- Perform CT, CT Angiography, and Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Demonstrates proficiency in venipuncture and the use of power injectors according to protocol.
- Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast media, assessing patients for potential risks prior to administration.
- Communicates effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and alleviating concerns about procedures.
- Ensures all exams are properly coded, networked, and documented for interpretation and billing purposes.
- Assists in maintaining departmental compliance with safety and procedural standards.
- Ensures proper patient identification, reviews medical history, and follows departmental protocols for optimal imaging results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
