We’re currently partnering with a well-established structural steel fabrication company in Lakeland, FL that is looking to hire a Machine Operator - Brake/Torch. In this role, you'll operate brake presses, torch machines, CNC equipment, or other industrial machinery used in the production of structural steel components.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has a high level of energy and a willingness to learn, thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is eager to develop new skills through hands-on training.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate brake, torch, and other industrial machinery used to cut, bend, shape, and fabricate steel materials
• Set up and adjust machines according to work orders, blueprints, measurements, and production specifications
• Load, unload, position, and move steel materials throughout the production process
• Measure and inspect materials and finished parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and quality standards
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and production efficiency
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and report any equipment, tooling, or machine issues
• Monitor tooling and consumable supplies and communicate when replacements are needed
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Work closely with other machine operators and production team members to maintain an efficient workflow
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper operating practices when working with machinery, torches, and steel materials
• Assist with other production duties and equipment as needed

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous experience operating brake presses, torch machines, CNC equipment, or other industrial machinery preferred
• Experience working with steel or other metal materials in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and operate various types of production equipment
• Comfortable reading work orders, measurements, and basic fabrication instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, quality parts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting production goals
• Willingness to learn and cross-train on multiple machines and processes
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a positive attitude
• Team player with good communication skills
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials throughout the shift
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery, hot materials, torches, and steel products
• Reliable transportation and commitment to workplace safety

What You Can Expect

• $20.00 - $25.00/hr, based on experience
• Monday – Friday, 6:55am – 4:30pm
