Preschool Assistant Teacher

Support a nurturing, Montessori-inspired classroom for preschool-aged children and mixed early childhood ages as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. Work alongside lead and assistant teachers to help create a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment, with family communication handled as needed by the lead teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and Montessori-inspired learning experiences.
• Supervise preschool-aged children and mixed early childhood groups.
• Provide positive behavior guidance and support children’s social development.
• Monitor classroom safety and respond to children’s needs.
• Maintain an organized, prepared, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other assistant teachers.
• Support as-needed family communication under the direction of the lead teacher.

Required Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education.
• Coursework in early childhood education.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
