Job Description
Propane Delivery Driver
Schilling Propane is family owned and operated and seeking a reliable propane delivery driver to join our team. We offer stable, year-round employment with consistent hours from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, with possible overtime required during the fall and winter. Our drivers are home every night, providing a healthy work-life balance. This position involves delivering propane safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. No prior propane experience is necessary, as we provide training. Candidates with previous delivery experience may find this role a good fit.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial truck to deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers following scheduled routes and delivery windows.
Verify paperwork and document deliveries using handheld devices and logs.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues and coordinate with dispatch for service or route adjustments.
Maintain compliance with Hazmat and CDL requirements and safety protocols.
Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address questions.
Qualifications:
Valid Class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
Prior delivery driving experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Ability to pull delivery hose at customer locations and get in and out of the truck many times per day.
