CNC Laser Operator

Talento Search Group has an opening for a CNC Laser Operator in Norcross, Georgia. This is a direct-hire position and the pay range is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Duties:

Set up CNC laser cutting machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming files based on production specifications.

Operate CNC laser equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety standards in production.

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate fabrication.

Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

Maintain accurate production documentation including job reports, inspection records, and quality control logs.

Handle materials efficiently using warehouse experience skills like materials handling and tooling management.

Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and packaging processes to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Conduct inspections during production runs to identify defects or deviations from specifications; implement corrective actions when necessary.

Experience Needed:

At least 1 year of CNC laser setup experience.

Experience operating forklifts to move materials.

Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings.

Familiarity with shop math, factory safety standards, and manufacturing best practices.

Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and GD&T principles.

Experience with materials handling, packaging procedures, and warehouse operations within a manufacturing setting.

Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
